Introduction

Our world is changing. Yet the core Jain philosophy and principles remain. How do we better understand the ancient in the context of the modern?

In this four-session seminar, we will bring alive the Jain Philosophy of Soul and Karma and Jain Principles – Ahimsa, Anekantvad, and Aparigraha. From these core beliefs, we will connect to our modern-day Jain Way of Life practices. New paradigms will be shared to help us understand and simplify Jainism and the Jain Way of Life for us and the next generation.

Who should Join this Seminar?

The seminar is for young adults who are exploring Jainism and greater happiness in life. Those who want to incorporate Jain core values and how to share Jain philosophy, principles and practices with their family, friends and colleagues.

What is the duration of this Seminar ?
Once a week for one hour over four weeks.
It is mandatory to attend all sessions?
Since there will be limited availability and group participation, we request you to attend all sessions or wait for a later time when you can join all sessions.
What will I learn?
Our goal is for greater happiness and equanimity. We will bring alive and simplify Jain Philosophy of Soul and Karma and Jain Principles of Ahimsa, Anekantvad, and Aparigraha using new paradigms  From these core beliefs we will connect to our modern day Jain Way of Life practices.
What is Jain Path?
The Jain philosophy about the Theory of Soul and K arma as well as the Jain principles of triple A’s Ahimsa Anekantvad and Apairgrapha provide the Jain Path to Jain Practices. We need to strengthen and share our philosophy and principles.
What is Jain Way of Life (JWOL)?
Living a life mindfully guided by Jain Principles in  our day to day activities.  JWOL is proactively integrating forgiveness, gratitude, and balancing our needs and wants and many more Jain principles.
